'If Inter call me, of course I will go' - Former Atletico Madrid boss Quique Flores reveals approach from Italian titans

Former Atletico Madrid boss Quique Flores has revealed Inter has contacted his agent about a coaching position at the club.

The Serie A club's current coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, has come under fire less just months into his stint after the side lost its first three matches of the season, including the Italian Supercoppa against arch-rivals AC Milan.

Inter supremo Massimo Moratti has given Gasperini a vote of confidence and stressed the 53-year-old's job is not on the line.

However, Flores, who has been out of work since the end of the last season, has hinted that Inter is looking for a new coach already after claiming his agent was contacted by the San Siro outfit.

"There has been an approach with [agent] Jorge Mendes," he told MARCA TV. "If Inter call me, even though [Diego] Forlan is there, of course I will go."

Forlan and Flores have failed to see eye-to-eye for several months now, with the Uruguayan striker stating his former coach had a problem with him, and referred to the Spaniard as a troublemaker.

Questioned about his troublesome relationship with Forlan, Flores said it all began after the UEFA Super Cup against Inter in August of 2010.

"On that day, as he celebrated, I saw a different Diego," Flores noted.

Radamel Falcao happy with scoring first goal for Atletico Madrid in Europa League tie against Celtic

Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has expressed his happiness with scoring his debut goal in the 2-0 victory against Celtic in the Europa League.

The Colombia international signed for Atletico for 40 million euros with the responsibility of filling the shoes of Sergio Aguero, who chose to further his career at Manchester City.

After failing to break his duck in Atletico's 1-0 defeat at Valencia last weekend, Falcao grabbed his first goal for the Spanish club against Celtic as he headed home a corner just three minutes in, before Diego erased all doubts with a second-half goal.

After the game, Falcao spoke of his joy at netting with an Atletico shirt for the first time, but signalled the importance of kicking off the Europa League group stage campaign with a victory.

"I am happy to have scored," he told Canal+. "It is my first goal at the Vicente Calderon. It boosted our confidence as we got the lead early in the match and we managed to keep it."

"The important thing is that Atletico win and that we reach our goals game after game. If I score, that is even better," he added.

Claude Puel wants 4.9 million euors from former club Lyon

Claude Puel, who was sacked as Lyon coach in the summer is claiming the club owes him 4.9 million euros, which includes damages for the effect it has had on his professional reputation.

The 50-year-old, who had a year left to run on his contract was replaced by Remi Garde in June for his failure to deliver a league title in his three-year spell at the Stade Gerland.

However, Puel's lawyer Guy Reiss is claiming the tactician is owed a severance package including owed wages and damages for loss of reputation.

"First of all there is 3.3 million euros in wages that are owed for the remainder of the contract, and in respect to compensation for damages to his professional reputation, 1.6 million euros," Reiss told RMC Sport.

The two parties could not reach an agreement in Lyon's Labor Court on Thursday so the case will continue on November 10.

Report: Juventus to learn 2006 Calciopoli Scudetto fate on December 13

Juventus will find out whether its appeal to regain the 2006 Serie A title has been successful through CAS (the Court of Arbitration for Sport) on December 13, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian giants were stripped of their 2005 and 2006 titles due to the Calciopoli scandal which also saw the Turin side relegated to Serie B.

In July, the club were told by the Italian FA that to revoke the decision to award Inter the Scudetto would be outside of its legal capabilities due to the Statute of Limitations, despite proof that the Milanese outfit were also guilty of speaking to referees and referee designators.

However, Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has since appealed the decision to Uefa and CAS, with the former announcing there will be a decision made in the next three months.

President of the board, Giuseppe Scandurra, will oversee the case along with his understudies Dario Buzzelli and Enrico De Giovanni, who will now examine the documentation before coming to their decision.

Juve has started the new league campaign brightly, beating Parma 4-1 with the club facing an away trip to Siena on Sunday.

Werder Bremen's Tim Wiese: A different league would appeal to me

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese has refused to rule out a move abroad when his contract at the Bundesliga club expires next summer.

The 29-year-old has already confirmed that he is unlikely to stay at Bremen beyond this season with the side not in a financial position to offer him a new deal.

Wiese, who was heavily linked to league rivals Wolfsburg this summer has confirmed that he would be open to trying his luck in a different country.

"Next year I will be available on a free transfer, there are a lot of possibilities. I'm only 29 years old. Another league would appeal to me if things do not work out at Werder," Wiese told Kicker.

Werder has made a bright start to the current Bundesliga campaign and currently sit joint top with Bayern Munich on 12 points.

The club finished 13th last season and many pundits expected Thomas Schaaf's men to struggle in the new campaign following the loss of captain Per Mertesacker to Arsenal yet Wiese believes there is a simple reason to their good form.

"Things are going well and we're successful because it's fun again. We play football together, it's as simple as that," he added.

Wiese joined the club on a free transfer from Kaiserslautern in 2005 and has made 177 Bundesliga appearances for Bremen.
